Asian Exchanges Started The Week With Slight Gains
Asian Stock Exchanges found support from the hopes for economic recovery, with the employment data coming by the US on Friday higher than expected.
While stocks rose slightly in Japan, China, and Hong Kong, the index experienced a drop in early transactions in Korea. The Japanese economy fell 2.2 percent annually in the first quarter of 2020. The expected contraction was 2.1 percent.
The Australian stock market is closed due to the holiday.
Japan’s Topix Index gained 0.6 percent.
The South Korean Kospi Index rose 0.2 percent.
Shanghai Composite Index increased by 0.4 percent.
Hong Kong Hang Seng Index gained 0.4 percent.
