UK Markets Lost Valueat Closing UK stock exchanges declined after the Friday session. The depreciation of the shares in the fields of Petroleum Equipment Services & Distribution, Real Estate, and Real Estate Investment Trusts affected the stock market negatively.
With the close of London markets, the UK 100 index fell 0.08%.
Carnival PLC (LON: CCL), which is traded within the UK 100 index and achieved the best performance of the day, gained 5.57% or increased 74.5 points and continued to stall at 1.411.5.
Severn Trent PLC (LON: SVT) was the most losing share of the day. The stock decreased by 3.22% or 79.0 points. It continues to be priced at a 2,371.0 level.
While the number of depreciating stocks on the London Stock Exchange was recorded as 1213, the number of stocks that gained value was 1066. No increase or decrease was observed in 69 shares.
